Though rare, there are certain conditions that may cause an inspection to fail. A few examples include:

  1. A user shuts down his/her phone before transmissions are completed.

  2. Built Inspect app is Force Quit before transmissions are completed.

  3. Built Inspect is closed and device security protocol cuts background data submission (common with iPhone).

Submissions can easily be restarted by the user once it reaches a fail state by tapping to retry. However, if it does not move to the fail state, here is a quick workaround that can be used to unblock inspectors.

  1. Swipe left on impacted inspection to reveal the Cancel button.

  2. Once tapped, the inspection will be forced into the failed state.

  3. Now the user can tap retry to manually resubmit
